I SAID WILL U PLEASE GET YOUR SNAKE AND CLEAN OUT THE WASTE LINE. HE WENT ON TO TELL ME HE WOULD HAVE TO DROP THE DISPOSAL SO HE COULD INSPECT IT. I TOLD HIM JUST UNDO THE TRAP. HE HESITATED AND I ASKED HIM TO LEAVE AFTER HE PRESENTED A $700 TO ME. I THEN CALLED A DRAIN... Read more

I took the recommendation of a neighbor and used Ben Franklin Plumbing to help diagnose a leak. Ben Franklin states that they will fix the issue and show up on time as their key business model. 1st appointment the technician showed up on time but was clueless about the issue. The Second appointment the technician showed up on time and kept giggling and muttering to himself how expensive this will get. When i asked what the problem was he simply... Read more

My toilet inlet tap was leaking and because I wasn’t sure how to turn of the main water supply I called Benjamin Franklin Plumber in Columbus GA. They came when my wife was home and they quoted and charged for two activities. However, one of the activities they charged $116 for was installing the toilet supply line that comes as part of the kit.... they charged another $116 to replace the small inlet tap. The work they did amounted to... Read more

My husband contacted BF after our kitchen renovation. We needed to have a new faucet installed, which we supplied, and to reattach our existing dishwasher. Since we could not locate our home phone book with our honest plumber's # in it, he called these thieves. We also asked them to replace our bathroom sink's pop-up drain. They charged us $1,755.60 for this work. I have gotten subsequent estimates for the exact same work that range from... Read more

Then he complained about my washer and dryer hoses they are less than two years old but he wanted to charge me $120 to put in new ones I said... Read more

Our water heater broke Feb 14, 2013. Since Ben Franklin had installed the last one we called them again. Marvin arrived quickly, installed the water and did a very good job. Since it was a bit of an emergency we had agreed to the parice of $1829. The next day we began to think it was extraordinarily expensive. At that time we called Home Depot and were told that a new water heater, installed with an 8-9 yr warranty would be $600-700. We... Read more

Furnace PVC exhaust pipe cracked; condensation was entering the house. Called Benjamin Franklin and a plumber was scheduled for the next day and I was told it would cost $59 for the service call and the repair charges. Plumber arrived promptly at 8:37 a.m. He reviewed the problem, checked his notebook for the cost template and the charge was $388! This for changing 2 sections of PVC pipe and 2 PVC elbows; total of about 3 feet of PVC, maybe... Read more
