They are all in when they want to sell you something When something is wrong they are not around
I have called at least 15 times and have yet to even get the name of a manager or an email address of someone I can send something to
No one talks to me
I have a contract with them and have spent thousands
- No one addressing a problem putting their head in the sand
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Dont use them
Poor service along with too high charges.
On Aug 8,2025, I hired Ben Franklin Plumbing located in Gainesville, FL, to repair my water softener. I supplied the parts.
Since then, I did not have any soft water. On Sep 25 I had the system taken apart and inspected. It was found that the internal parts were not correctively placed in the resin tank.
These were not professional technicians. On top of that, their charges for their labor only was $764.40.
User's recommendation: If you need a PROFESSIONAL PLUMBER, hire another company!
Positive experience
They friendly, informative and punctual. From Jen and customer service, Justin the plumber and the track *** team they all did an excellent job. I highly recommend this company.
Rip off
I asked to replace the water off valve to the toilet and replace the tank valve.
They quoted me $299 and only replaced the water valve which was maybe $15 of material and hardly 10 minutes of labor which means they charged $285 for labor
Don't use them

The guy that came looked at it and gave me an estimate of 875.00 for the repair.
I called another plumbing co. for an estimate and they fixed to leak in less than one hour and charged me 185.00.Get more than one estimate

Verified ReviewerLATE LATE LATE
Two hours late yesterday two hours late today no calls no updates. No customer service took off work a half a day to sit here and wait on plumbers that showed up late. No apology just excuses.
Way too expensive
Asked them to replace the inside parts of the bathroom toilet and see about a drain clog in the shower. Thinking they could do it a lot faster and had all the tools, I asked them to do it.
They came back with an estimate of over $700 to do both and $445 for just the toilet. I needed the toilet done, so I settled for that instead of paying an $89 service call fee and no work being done. The work done was fine, but we were ripped off.
The bill didn't even have a breakdown of labor, parts, etc. It was just $89 service call and $360 for "Five Point Tune Up Plus".
User's recommendation: Use another company or do it yourself.
Totally dissatisfied with service
Called on Saturday to snake out a drain and was told it would be 189.00. Tech got here and didn't do nothing but got on his tablet to tell us it would be 621.00 to snake our drain.
The 189.00 we were quoted was just to show up out here. Was never told there would be extra charges. I feel they misrepresented themselves. We called another plumber and they came out and did 5 min worth of work and didn't charge no where near that amount and got it fixed.
I wouldn't recommend them for nothing. Way overpriced and they don't tell you about hidden charges.i

Verified ReviewerShyster franchise
This company is a "Homeowner" plumber. They thrive on homeowners who don't know what plumbing labor and products cost.
They are very absorbantly priced. You have to be desperate to use them. Ever see them parked at new construction working for builders? No.
Because builders know how things are supposed to be priced.
People that buy into that franchise take advantage of the public and should be ashamed of themselves. I used them once before realizing what they were...shysters.
- Always on time to rip off
- Overpriced
Preferred solution: never to use again
User's recommendation: Never use. Avoid at all costs. Unrealistic prices. Un-merchantable practices.
WORST PLUMBING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!
I could spend days telling you everything that is wrong with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, but I will spare you. The best decision will ever make is to NOT use them, unless you love wasting time and money!
They messed up every single thing they touched, I have had to spend $$$ extra to get all work redone. Brad Curry is a terrible human being and has no clue what he is talking about!!!
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified ReviewerNOT HAPPY, I FEEL I WAS RIPPED OFF
I called a plumber, from Benjamin franklin plumbing, Kingman az , I was ripped off, my tub was stopped up, first of all he came out with a junk snake, not the one he supposedly needed, couldnt unplug the drain for the tub, then he said he would pull the toilet and run the big snake in the drain, which only cleared the toilet, didnt help the tub any,he tells me it wil be $358.00 and the problem wasnt solved, he said after i pid that to buy a snake that is battery or plug in to unplug the tub, had he done that in the first place i could have saved $358.00 so he left, we bought a ryobi battery snake from home depot, WORKED LIKE A CHARM, MY HUSBAND HAD TH TUB UNPLUGGED IN 15 MINUTES, As for the plumbers work of the toilet, it is still slow to flush, his snaking it, with his bigger one, did not entirely solve any problem, and why should a consumer have to pay for a problem that wasnt xfix, I should be given a refund
- Did not solve the problem
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: yah dont use these rip offs
They came and fixed a plumbing problem that we had but when we inspected the job they had put they stickers over all our appliances.
You cannot remove these labels without destroying the original label of the suppliers underneath who we were very happy with. This is tantamount to trespass and defacing of our private property. I would not let Benjamin Franklin or One Hour Heating within our house ever again and will recommend the same to our neighbors unless they agree not to put their advertising on our property.
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Do NOT USE these people without stipulating that they just fix your problem without defacing your utilities.

Verified Reviewer |Paid for work that was not done
I recently (12/30/2020) had some work done by Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to replace the HVAC ducting under my home in Kingman, AZ.
Before the ducting could be installed the technician discovered a water leak that was partially responsible for the failure of the existing ductwork.
A plumbing technician from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was called in to repair the leak. After diagnosing the problem, the technician recommended that all of the plumbing should be replaced.
After some discussion it was determined that the whole house refit that was recommended was supposedly done by a Benjamin Franklin Plumbing technician in December of 2019 was in fact never done. At that time I paid a total of $16,200 for the retrofit.
Since becoming aware of the issue, I have made several attempts to discuss the discrepancy with a supervisor at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, Kingman, AZ.
As of this time, no one from the Kingman office of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing has made any attempt to contact me to reconcile the problem.
I have been doing business with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing since I purchased the property in April of 2015 and they have done extensive repairs to my home over that time period.
I feel that, at the very least, I should be entitled to a review of the work that has been done to my residence and, if the facts are correct, a refund of my payment for the work that was never done.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution
User's recommendation: follow through as your work progresses
Swamp cooler not working at all after supposed clean up and new filters installed.
My swamp cooler stopped sending cold air about 7 weeks after it was supposedly cleaned and new water filters installed. I was charged $100.00 for the supposedly new water filters.
I also paid approx. 99.00 for the little water pipe that was added because they said it was leaking. I was ok with that until it stopped working entirely, except the pump was still working but no water was coming. This all happened on a Friday prior to the 4th of July holiday. The temperature hovered around 100 degrees.
I was told they could not fix it until the next Tuesday afternoon. I called my great-grandson, also from Montrose to come to fix it asap. This is what he found. None of the dirt had been cleaned out from last year, the pump was working but the water was plugged at the pump and one of the spider arms also.
The filters were the old ones from about two years ago. They never replaced what they charged me a hundred dollars for. It has been cleaned up by my relative and working again. I would like to have a refund for the filters and the none cleaning that they were supposed to do and didn't.
I paid my great-grandson another $80.00 for coming and fixing it.
Except, it still has the old dirty filters. from about

User's recommendation: Started out great, but didn't end so well. I had a new kitchen faucet and a new hot water tank. I was very pleased with these. Just a word of caution when a couple egg heads think they can get away with something.
Shocked at the cost!
I received a coupon in the mail for 50% off the cost of service call from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.
A few days later my kitchen sink was leaking. I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing , they came out the next day!
The technician Cris, was very professional and very personable.
Cris was at my house for a total of 30 minutes, worked on my drain for 15 minutes. The bill, after the $50.00 coupon was a whooping $368.00! If you take off the $50.00 the actual bill would be $418.00, for 15 minutes of actual work! That is $1,672.00 per hour!
Brain surgeons don't get paid that much!
Cris informed us that it was the company that told him to charge that much, he could not adjust the bill.
I called Ben Franklin Plumbing after Cris left, spoke with a gentleman who said he could take $100.00 off the cost, I said that was still outrageous. The clerk took my name and said he would have a supervisor get back with me,
I received a voice mail without my phone ringing???? I called back and of course no one was available to speak with me at that time and I was assured someone would call right back. TwoI received a coupon in the mail for 50% off the cost of service call from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.

No one called me back so I called them. I spoke with a customer service manager, he absolutely refuse to remedy the issue.

Poor customer service
I wrote a harsh review of this local business because no one was coming to inspect the problem pump instead they wanted me to buy a new one. After months of calls and conversation the manager came to check.
The problem was simple and fixed quickly. The manager explained his area of calls covered more than Melbourne and Palm Bay.
So he agreed to give me a heads up when he will actually be in town. Lack of communication is the general cause of many problems.
