Purchased a hot water heater from BFP back in 2/2009 with a 2 year parts and labor warranty and 6 year tank warranty. Paid way too much. As luck would have it, water heater failed and started leaking in December 2014. Called BFP and they couldn't tell me over the phone if the problem was covered by the warranty and would send a tech with a $49 trip charge. I called several other plumbers in... Read more

Had to have the house re-piped. Called and got four estimates. Ben Franklin was about the middle, but had a 20 year warranty. A good selling point. Out of the four quotes, the technician James M. was the most professional at explaining the requirements, procedure, equipment, and time of completion. He was the only one of the people I called that went so far as to check in the front yard to... Read more

I can't speak for all branches of this franchise but in the Phoenix metro area I hired them to replace a new hot water heater. I had what is known as a "hard" plumbing setup which means that I had copper pipes run all the way to my water heater. Without asking or telling me, the plumber steals my copper pipes (worth a few hundred dollars) and replaces them with flex pipe which costs $20 at Home... Read more

I had a plumber out to my house to fix the "smelly water" coming from my hot water. They changed the anode rod (to an aluminum rod), flushed and sanitized the water heater. 3 weeks later the smell returned. I called them. They said they could come look at it, but it would cost me. I had already paid $622 for that simple repair (That I now found out would've been about $200 from another... Read more

We called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for a simple quote to plumb a gas line from the existing meter 18 feet to our kitchen. The Plumber “PCS” was uninterested in the job and quoted $3020.00. He asked if we had some other work he could quote that would bring the price down and guarantee quick service, stating that this job was actually too small for them. He took a look at a faucet and quoted an... Read more

I called Benjamin Franklin today after my water heater shot craps yesterday and they caught my attention with a sticker on the front of my Wichita Eagle this morning. The two gentleman arrived on time and conducted themselves in a professional and courteous manner. However, I was stunned when after informing me that it was a fairly simple and routine installation they then proceeded to tell me... Read more

These guys are crooks!! They call themselves plumbers, when all they do is sell you on things that you don't need! I draw a very fine line between so called "educating" customers and providing friendly service. These people don't want to fix our problems all they do is create them. Add comment
